AT THE WATER
“Water fascinated me even as a child. During the holidays, I would go to the sea with my parents. Since then, this element has carried me. Taking pictures of the sea means looking into my own soul.”
The exhibition fast nass (almost wet) at the House of Photography in the small town of Burghausen in Bavaria comprises over 60 photos from three serial cycles: from Ships on Land, from MEMBRAN about water surfaces, and from the cycle vagues wellen waves.
“The sea breathes; it is like a living organism that inhales, exhales, and pauses briefly in between, similar to the rhythm of the human lungs, except that this rhythm is infinite.”
fast nass can be seen until June 14.
On April 19 and May 17, there will be a guided tour and an artist talk at 11 a.m.
The parallel exhibition WALDZUSTANDSGEDICHT in Seeshaupt at the southern end of Lake Starnberg (near Munich) has been extended until May 10.
